One is the japanese model (ntsc j), the other one is the european model (pal) primeiro é paraguai segundo e brasil. jp vs pal. red one isn’t necessarily japanese. it’s definitely asian, but there were a few variants that used those colours in asia, some of which were 50hz, not 60hz.

Just a few discoveries i made today about the genesis model 1 and 2. i'll throw in a comparison with the 32x as well just for good measure. these tests were done on a 27 inch sony trinitron crt tv. so first of all, contrary to popular belief, the sega genesis model 2 does output true stereo. Seems there are quite a few versions of this another world game. also called out of this world, and heart of the alien on sega cd. which is the best version to get? i assume the genesis version is not the best one. i think it's gonna be between heart of the alien and the 15th anniversary pc version. but i'm not a big pc gamer. 34 votes, 12 comments. 49k subscribers in the sega community. the subreddit for everything sega. Two differences of each are that the model 1 has oval buttons, and the model 2 has round circle buttons. plus the slot where the ribbon cable goes on the motherboard is 20 pins. whereas on the model 2 it's 21 pin (i highly doubt you care about that though).
