I got this on the mmi yesterday again: "engine start system fault, please contact dealer". but it disappeared today. it already happened 3 times in the past 2 months. i called the dealer, he didn't have clue. since it disappeared after a day, i haven't sent it in for checkup. did anyone get the same issue?.

Fuses in rear, on battery, dash sides, in engine bay and under dash. have you connected anything to the can network. even if its been working fine previously; remove it. remove the connectors from the bcm and check for any contact issues or corrosion. no joy then look at the relays under the dash and engine bay box and swap same for same. My audi a6 c7 will not start at all i have had the battery changed and also the clutch switch clutch master cylinder and still it won't start. my fault codes are. u111300 abs tcs esp can signal signal faulty. u111300 function restriction due to fault value received. can anyone please help me. thank you. When turning in the ignition and starting up the engine, i got an error message on the dash “engine start system fault. please contact workshop”. the car, starts runs and drives as normal, so i took it in to the garage who cleared the fault (£65), but didn’t know what it was. after 10 mins, the fault came back.
