St Thomas More College Clark Home Wright county and the city of monticello have partnered to create this 1,200 acres of open space in wright county, known as the bertram chain of lakes. the county and city partnership was formed with the goal of improving the community’s quality of life by preserving this irreplaceable natural area and creating a regional park for public. The main park entrance is at 9910 briarwood avenue ne on the north end of bertram lake. this entrance provides access to the swimming beach, hiking trails, rental facilities which include picnic shelters and a four season climate controlled chalet, and ymca camp manitou facilities day camp.

Bertram chain of lakes regional park is just south of county road 39 in wright county. we’ve passed by it on every trip we’ve made to nearby lake maria state park. but we’ve never bothered to stop in and visit this county park. so, today, we decided to see what hiking was like a bertram. Bertram chain of lakes regional park campground is located near a series of interconnected lakes in minnesota. the area experiences temperatures ranging from 10°f in winter to 80°f in summer. campers can explore nearby attractions such as lake maria state park and the monticello country club.
