It's pretty clear that you revealed second because valkyrie didn't hit you, that's kinda puzzling. did the opponent have a ghost that bugged out after getting destroyed maybe? did they leech at some point? i know the symbol fades in and out on leeched cards but not sure if it does so enough to not show up at all for just a second.
