Now, all i want to do is go play video games again. i have a few games i play regularly all of them are singleplayer experiences and offline. that means no microtransactions, no shitty teammates, and no relying on the internet to play my games.

To be honest with you, you should have played this game for a few months after you left a year ago, you missed out on the last bit of sunshine it had as the siege of old. this is the siege of new, few things are recognisable, the game's no longer the same. My reasoning is that i don't want to commit to games. some times i can play a couple hours a day for a week and other times i'm not free for two weeks straight. i don't want to get hooked only to not be able to play it for a while and forget the story. My favorite thing about the switch is that it's powerful enough to run games that are old and new, it has this middle ground where you get games like zelda: breath of the wild which are new and made exclusively for the switch or you can play an 8 year old game like elder scrolls: skyrim. If i stopped playing a game after putting some serious time into it, then there's probably a reason i quit. if it's because i'm stuck, then i don't want to play up to the same point just to get stuck again, so starting over is only really an option if it's a problem that can be fixed by taking a different route or building the character.
