Ignition Map Thoughts Page 2 Honda D Series Forum I can tell you on my d16z6, base 16* ignition timing on stock cam. i run way more timing than that. again as schardbody mentioned there are various offsets that affect timing. this is pic of my current high cam map. please dont use this to tune your ride cause our setups are different. Motor mayhem & suspension satisfaction. engine management. input on my ignition map.

Do you still use the same z6 map if you are using the z6 block crankpulley and a y8 head? i hope so, i have my idle at 16 on my map ( with the cam retarded 2.5deg b c of y8 head cam and block decked 0.020"). seems to run ok if can keep the rods bearing in rod #4 from failing ;d. So would it be best to make a map with no boost and then retard the timing in accordance to the boost levels or just build a semi composite map of ignition with a top advance of say 25 degrees?. I've recently discovered that in every honda "ingniter" or "ignition modual" inside the distibutor has a preset ignition map built in. these maps are different from year, make, and model. my question is does this change the overall effect of ignition timing per tune per igniter.

I need to got a rouph ignition map for a d15 out of a 1992 lsi civic . i am running on bikecarbs and soon to be on an aftermarket ecu ignition setup . just need somewhere to start on the ignition timing side of things. just the static timing figures and possibly a full advance figure if anyone knows it ? thanks for any help.
