This was the animals issue, and i worked with johnathan, goodgoodgood's art director, to come up with 3 initial sketches that reflected the issue theme in a subtle way and included a xiye bastida quote. we both agreed on pushing forward with one of the options (below), and seeing the final artwork in print this summer was absolutely incredible!.
