Metadata Menu Cannot Get Autoupdate Working On Formula Help
I Always Use Metadata Menu Hi, recently i started using the metadata menu plugin quite interesting and if i get it to run, this can be a great tool for securing data quality when it comes to frontmatter. however, i have a problem, of which certainly i just don’t see the mistake i am making:. I see, yes, that is correct — but still, the auto update does not work. i'm adding the field to the note itself, and it does not update — neither for a first calculation nor if any change is made to the “source fields”.

Metadata Menu Cannot Get Autoupdate Working On Formula Help When you create a custom metadata type, you can reference its values in an advanced formula field. if a field value changes, you can update it in the custom metadata type instead of changing multiple, hard coded formulas. Both 'customize application' and 'modify metadata through metadata api functions' are required, but i had only assigned the 'modify metadata through metadata api functions' permission. In this case, i'm trying to change a formula field is template to compare the id of the related company c to the id stored in the cmt record for the template account. I have now gotten it to work under the fileclass note, but the added field has to be right clicked manually prompted to "update formula" using the menu. running the update formula command on the entire page doesn't seem to do it.

At first i thought that the automatic update was disabled by default because of the metadata menu: update formula fields command, but it's the opposite (so i don't see the point of that command right now 🤔). Yes that's the standard behaviour: unlike dataview, lookup and formula fields are recalculated and "printed" in the note. and since we don't know if a given change in one note has or hasn't an impact on a given formula, the plugin has to recalculate. As stated, i have formulas that won't update values automatically even though my formula > calculation options are already set to "automatic". the values do update, but only after i click the "calculate sheet" button. Used different options to update the calculation in the excel formulas but it still isn't working. i also pressed crtl alt shift f9, also updated calculation settings to automatic to no avail.
