Ors News2use Bioinformatics Workshop On Single Cell Sequencing

Ors News2use Bioinformatics Workshop On Single Cell Sequencing The workshop will also highlight tips and potential approaches to related to single cell rna sequencing and introduce the major methods and tools available for single cell rna sequencing and analysis (both commercial and open source). One on one tutorials are offered for the analysis tools and databases available via the library's high performance computer workstations. in addition, tutorials are provided for open source tools on a user's computer or for those used through nih high performance computing (hpc) systems.

Welcome Figure1 This workshop will cover key aspects of single cell omics experiments from experimental design through bioinformatics. strengths and weaknesses of available approaches will be discussed. Single cell rna sequencing is revolutionizing biology by allowing researchers to explore gene expression at the resolution of individual cells. this cutting edge technology is key to uncovering cellular diversity, understanding developmental processes, and advancing disease research. In this workshop, you will import single cell data, and cover topics such as normalization, quality control, dimensionality reduction, visualization, and data interpretation. These tools will give you basic experience in performing statistical analyses and data visualization for a variety of bioinformatic approaches to single cell sequencing.

Overview: this course will introduce biologists and bioinformaticians to the field of single cell rna sequencing. we will cover a range of software and analysis workflows that extend over the spectrum from the best practices in the filtering scrna seq data to the downstream analysis of cell clusters and temporal ordering. Describe (at a high level) how single cell samples are sequenced along with strengths of a few popular library preps. create and interpret preliminary qc visualizations from a single cell experiment. In this workshop, you will be introduced to the single cell gene expression analysis journey. analysis begins at experimental design. together we will explore a set of neutrophil data starting with the 10x cloud analysis platform for raw data processing. Note that the focus of this course is on single cell rna seq analysis. this course is designed to pair well with the bulk rna seq analysis course that precedes it and students are encouraged to enroll in both.
