Romans have a very glaring hole in their archery tech tree, but as long as you can get by without archers, they're pretty solid. however if your opponent has a civ that can take advantage of that weakness, you'll be in trouble. Really, of all the civs in aoe2, romans are the ones that get this?! i think they’re unlikely to get a major rework at this stage, but there’s a good chance they’ll have their bonuses trimmed. it’s not obvious to me which ones should go, although the galley line ones are definitely expendable.
