If you find the image trace script in the illustrator presets folder, look for the code below. change the 3 to an 8, and you will get a runnable script that uses low fidelity photo preset. Screen shot 1 shows some text that i have rasterized to be image traced. i work at a die making facility so rasterized images need to be made into vectors for our cnc machines to "read them." as it stands, if i image trace this text it is going to be transposed to the right and below the original. Solved: recently bought illustrator cc and everything works perfect except for the image tracing. it goes through the process but right before its done i get 11425240. Sorry if this is a newbie question but everytime i try to do an image trace on a jpeg i pasted on my file it gives me: the operation cannot complete because of an unknown error [cant] and i'm losing it because i tried everything and still can't get it to work. help! also the adobe forums are currently in maintenance at the moment. which also sucks.
