Worst Chess Set Design Ever Chess Forums Page 5 Chess Here's a bce (i had to look up best chessman ever) set that looks pretty cool. not my cuppa but i give them marks for a different approach that's inventive with a thought out design. Glass chess sets in general are the worst. they're heavily overpriced, fragile, disallowed in tournament play, tough to differentiate, and get visibly dirty very quickly. to put it bluntly, glass chess sets are designed for people who don't play chess.

Chess is a strategy boardgame in which two kingdoms vie for power over a hypothetical 64 square world. chess is described as the "game of kings" on the box. it is supposed to be a grand game of warfare, diplomacy, and empire management. but does the game measure up to. Anybody else have experience with this "crystal" chess set design? my friend owns one and anytime we play together we both end up blundering from the clear and slightly cloudy piece and board designs. All the pieces look almost the same, combine that with the fact that they are very petite and you have a pretty bad chess set. but who cares, it's my pretty bad chess set at the end of the day. this is the same exact chess board that i have, anything else is so much expensive. i like it.

Two club colleagues had a game where both of them had 6 isolated pawns (2 pairs of doubleb pawns and two sole ones). at least you read the chapter on pawn structure!. So to decide which was the worst is difficult. it depends on what you define as "worst". the worst game played by one side is the fool's mate. the worst game played by both sides is extremely easy to perform. all you have to do is make both sides keep missing checkmate during each turn (in atomic).
